Dear Colleagues:
You are invited to join us for a fascinating Symposium on: "Globalization & Its Discontents: Modernization, Culture & Religion," co-sponsored by Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies and hosted by the University of San Francisco, San Francisco, California, USA, 2-5 August 2007. Judging by the proposals received thus far, the Symposium promises to be both international and interdisciplinary in the best sense. Highlights include Dr. Ted Baehr's Keynote: "We Are Not in Kansas or Kiev Anymore," and screening of an award-winning documentary, "Black Gold," followed by discussion. Call for Papers/Registration Form on the web at: www.JIS3.org/symposium2007.htm
Forthcoming: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies XIX 2007 on: "Virtue Ethics: Interdisciplinary Perspectives." Don't forget to reserve your copy, and recommend to your colleg e library ideally the entire interconnected thematic series of this refereed Journal. Happy 4th of July!
Sincerely,
Oskar Gruenwald, Ph.D., JIS Editor
